Paula West - I work in porcelain and stoneware clay to create handmade vessels that merge function, craft and art. Thrown on the potters wheel, sometimes altered, or slab built, I am inspired to create useful objects for daily living and special gatherings, their beauty revealed through use. My current work explores soda firing. This interactive process of spraying soda ash solution into the kiln creates unpredictable, dynamic and subtle surfaces, a collaboration between kiln, flame, atmosphere and maker.

Joe Cooper - My intention is to create a tactile and visual record of process. I work with oil paint, encaustic, canvas, paper, various metals, wire and wood to arrange responses to natural and man-made architectures.
I seek to find a balance between organized pattern and random marks. I am fascinated by the intrinsic properties of various materials, which I explore through contrast and juxtaposition.
