"In the 1960s sailing crew mates introduced me to scrimshaw, a sailors art of the 1800s. This got me into engraving. I later began using copper plates to engrave and then pull prints from them on an etching press. This was how etchings were done beginning about 1400, long before acid etching was introduced. Hand watercoloring is sometimes added to the prints. Favorite subjects are ships and whales. My works are presented framed, matted and flat. Special sale prices for the Tour and a choice of a ship or whale flat print for the raffle.
I’m a signature member of the American Society Of Marine Artists and I’m included in their just published book A Maritime History Of The United States.”
