“I stretch the white silk, then draw designs with a resist. I then paint the silk using permanent dyes with a single watercolor brush. Each scarf or garment is an original piece of art. I love my immediate response to the colors and forms that the dyes allow. My art reflects the surrounding island. Layers of light, natural forms, the wild gardens all deeply influence my art.”
