I have worked as a professional artist painting in oils for more than 40 years. I attended the University of Lund in Sweden, The University of Ghent in Belgium and The University of Oregon in Eugene,Oregon and studied with many artists along the way to gain my present perspective and style . During my more than 25 years in Eugene I exhibited in many of the local and state wide galleries in Oregon including Due Fine Arts in Eugene, Maveety Gallery in Gleneden Beach and the Bush Art Barn in Salem, Oregon . I also had a one person exhibit at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle presently continue to exhibit at the Jamjo Gallery in Jamjo ,Sweden.

I won the national competition first prize for oil on canvas at the prestigious ARTStravaganza of Chattanooga,TN..

Having now lived on San Juan Island for more than 6 years I continue to actively participate in the art community of Friday Harbor.

Gardening and painting is what I do.

Through my paintings I try to create an emotional statement in time and place, a moment of meditation for the viewer.
